At the beginning of the filtration, the mud is pumped into filter chambers by feed hole on the thrust plate, and the solid liquid separation is carried out with the pressure generated by the slurry pump. Due to the role of the filter medium (filter cloth), the solids remain in the filter chamber to form a filter cake, the filtrate is discharged by the drain. If the filter press is equipped with diaphragm filter plate, you can introduce compressed air or high-pressure water to membrane filter plates, so as to further reduce the water content of the filter cake.
