Detailed steps for operating filter press

The complete steps to operate filter press include compress filter press, start slurry pump to send slurry into filter chambers, loose filter plates to release filter cakes. If necessary, you can wash filter cloth regularly after filtration.

1. Start the equipment, and the power indicator lights up.
2. Press button to compress filter press. The piston will push keep plate to compress all filter plates and filter cloth tightly. The hydraulic pressure will automatically be kept between upper limit and lower limit set before.

Space between each two filter plates is called filter chamber, where solid liquid separation occurs.

3. Start the feed pump and open valve. The feed pump will continuously send slurry into filter chambers. The filtrate passes through filter cloth forced by pump pressure. Due to larger diameter, solid materials in the slurry will be left in filter chambers and form into filter cakes. When no filtrate flows out, you can stop the slurry pump.
4. This step is for membrane filter press. Start press pump, and the cavity of membrane filter plates can access certain liquid. And then membrane filter plates will be expanded and compress filter cakes to remove more moisture.
5. Close the start pump and open emptying pump. When the filtrate complete drain, you can press button to loosen filter plates. For automatic filter press, the plate shifter will pull plates and discharge filter cakes. When all filter cakes are discharged. The plate shifter will go back to original location.

Finally, you can check filter plates and cloth, so as to enter next working process.
