XMGZF70-1000-UB Membrane Filter Press Exported to South Korea
A membrane filter press bearing the nameplate “XMGZF70-1000-UB” completed its final commissioning at a zinc oxide wastewater treatment site in South Korea. The clear water continuously flowing from the filtrate outlet, together with the formed filter cake at the discharge outlet, provided the most intuitive verification of the equipment’s performance. After acceptance, the on-site customer gave clear feedback: the filter cake formed well, and the filtrate clarity met expectations.
XMGZF70-1000-UB is a Model 1000 membrane filter press with a filtration area of 70 m². It uses TPE membrane technology, and its water-pressure squeezing pressure can reach more than 0.8 MPa. In the model designation, “GZF” refers to a high-pressure membrane flip-plate structure, while “UB” corresponds to a specific filter plate material and filtrate discharge configuration.
Unlike ordinary chamber filter presses, after feed filtration is completed, a membrane filter press injects high-pressure fluid into the membrane plates, causing the elastic membranes to expand and apply secondary squeezing to the filter cake in the filter chambers. This process destroys the capillary structure inside the filter cake and forcibly discharges free water and some bound water from the spaces between particles. After membrane squeezing, the moisture content of filter cakes made of inorganic materials can be reduced to the range of 20% to 50%, a significant improvement over conventional filter pressing.
For zinc oxide wastewater treatment, this mechanism precisely addresses the characteristics of its sludge: lightweight, flocculent, and difficult to dewater. During the feeding stage, the filter cloth retains flocs to form an initial filter cake layer; during the membrane squeezing stage, the filter cake thickness is further compressed and residual moisture is squeezed out, giving the final filter cake sufficient consolidation and making it no longer slurry-like.
